Just a guy who's trying to stand up for what's right. I don't mind being called a numbskull. Simon's already called me far worse.

BTW, if you're looking for post ideas, Mrs. G wants to hear the story about how you and the Rev met.Matt Gummhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14698469400042045105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9891374.post-1156463433654363942006-08-24T18:50:00.000-05:002006-08-24T18:50:00.000-05:00Well, in the blogosphere I'm a newbie. I'm afraid I didn't know what I was embarking on by commenting on Pilgrim's blog!
I did read *all* the comments in that one thread. Great job at staying on top of it and remaining civil! :^D
Hats off. (Now you will be mocked as someone that the idiots, like me, flock to and call a hero when you know... it's obvious that you are really a mindless numbskull.) ;^)
NanNanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12607231961543237279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9891374.post-1156460401857583832006-08-24T18:00:00.000-05:002006-08-24T18:00:00.000-05:00Good post dude - possibly one of the longest I hav...Good post dude - possibly one of the longest I have seen in a while, but my attention span in short as you know - that's why you read the whole books and I read the cliff notes. He's about the closest I've ever been to being persecuted for the sake of Christ.

As for the 6x you found me, I can only say that I know a lot of great people out there on the 'Sphere.

BTW, if you haven't already done so, go back and read my comment on BugBlaster's post. I just found a link to you on an atheist blog. That can't be anything but good news! :^)
God bless.
NanNanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12607231961543237279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9891374.post-1156433783606861412006-08-24T10:36:00.000-05:002006-08-24T10:36:00.000-05:00I mean "being a kingdom of priests."I mean "being a kingdom of priests."Charles Seboldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08198636431187051339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9891374.post-1156433756263052592006-08-24T10:35:00.000-05:002006-08-24T10:35:00.000-05:00"...make it a point that when someone asks you to ..."...make it a point that when someone asks you to pray for them to do it right then. Not only will it keep you from being a liar, you'll be amazed at how much easier it is to remember those requests, and how encouraging it will be to that other person."

This is great advice, as is the notebook thing. I have had to pray right away when people ask me to pray, even if it's only for a minute and it isn't very polished or full-orbed or anything like that. Otherwise I definitely forget, and the last thing you want to do is tell somebody that you will take their cares before the Throne of Grace and then not do it. Pharaoh's cupbearer in Genesis 40 comes to mind. God is sovereign, but we should not undertake responsibility that we cannot fulfill, and bring a kingdom of priests to one another is definitely in that category.Charles Seboldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08198636431187051339noreply@blogger.com
