His daddy wouldn't let this kid drive his equipment anymore so the young fella reckoned he'd strike out on his own and do some work for the guys in the next county.
Sorry, there's no one good story, just a long series of minor screw-ups that always seemed to happen when someone was looking. I'm the guy who could never judge how deep the mud was without driving into it first. Among other things. I love animals. I hate farm machinery.
I never got bogged in the mud, but I did put my dad's tractor in the ditch. And my boss's pickup truck. And I blew through a stop sign while pulling a full forage wagon with a David Brown because I was too dodo to realize that it would take some distance to stop. I fell out of the hayloft once. I jammed the baler twice or thrice.
I think that's it.
Oh one more, I wrecked the suspension on my grandpa's old Willys when my cousin and I were flying it off the manure pile. But that wasn't work related.

Every time you post pictures of wrecked farm equipment, I have bad dreams. I am so glad to be off the farm.
David, I post from emotional personal experience, and with few words. I either have to do posts like this or else go pentecostal.
"emotional personal experience" indeed.
I will consider these pictures illustrations of my redemption.
Well you've got to tell the story! What'd you do? Auger a cat? Combine a bicycle?

However, I might go back and try that "auger a cat" thing. I don't love all animals.
Here's something that obviously belongs on your bookshelf. ;-)

I don't think jamming the bailer counts. That's inevitable.
Flying grandpa's Willys off the manure pile not work related? Go figure.
