Test Driving a Blog Client

I'm currently taking Performancing for Firefox out for a test drive. It is a Firefox extention for blogging.

I'll try to put up some feedback soon.

In the meantime, I'm curious if anyone else has used it and has feedback, or any other blog clients for that matter (Windows Live, or anything else).

I tried Performancing for Firefox and I really liked it's inline format but the "powered by performancing" tag it leaves at the end of every post irritated me so much that I quickly quit using it.

I currently use Windows Live Writer and love it. It is a simple, intuitive program. I love the way it downloads you blogs style so you can see exactly how your post will look as you type it, it's like a real-time preview. Finally, unlike Performancing it operates in a different window than your browser. this is annoying in some ways as it requires more open windows but on the other hand it's handy for creating blog posts offline. Despite my strong anti-Microsoft bias I rate it very highly and give it my recommendation.

Raben: Here's my question. I saw that Windows Live was free, but isn't also kinda, well, big?

I agree that there are some annoying things about Performancing, but given the fact that it's just an addin, I guess I'm cutting it more slack than I would a bigger program.

I'm also not thrilled by the Performancing self-promotion, but I always publish everything to Draft, so it's pretty easily handled there, if need be.
